Morning services take place in the Kirk at 11.15am.
There won't be service in Torphichen on 19 October 2025 - a joint service will be held at 11 am in St Ninian's Cragmailen, Linlithgow
see notices below for more information about the Congregation Meeting following Morning Worship
Evening services are held on Zoom at 7pm.
We hold Sunday evening Zoom services. The services are participatory, with suggestions and contributions from everyone. We have had folk attending when on holiday, in hospital or when housebound and either by tablet, computer or phone- even landline. Around a quarter of the folk now attending are not members of Torphichen; some even join from Africa and across the Atlantic!
The services are at 7.00pm and you can join in by tablet, computer or phone from 6.50pm.

Torphichen Coffee morning
Torphichen Kirk (part of Linlithgow and Avon Valley Church of Scotland) is pleased to be hosting a coffee morning for Sunflower Scotland in St John’s Hall on Saturday Nov 8th from 10-12 noon.
As well as it being a chance for a chat and home baking, with fun activities for children, there will be the opportunity to find out more about the work of this charity. Admission is, as usual, by donation, so £3, £4, £5, whatever. The sky’s the limit! All the money will go to Sunflower Scotland, SC052092. http://sunflowerscotland.co.uk
Sunflower Scotland is a charity founded by one of our members, Oleg Dmitriev, which provides aid to Ukraine. He has, along with others, been delivering aid in person, every few weeks, directly to the people who need it, not to intermediaries in western Ukraine. We get regular reports of difficult trips to the frontline villages.
The charity speaks directly to Ukrainian frontline doctors, to soldiers, to disabled people, to find out exactly what is needed. They have three priority areas: delivering medical aid to frontline medics and hospitals, rehabilitation of war victims, supporting vulnerable children.
We have been supporting this charity for a couple of years and are keen to continue doing so.
Kirk Session - What's Happening
A brief resume of the recent Kirk Session meeting held on 10 June 2025 is available here.
Offerings
We are grateful for the financial support provided through regular giving such as standing orders, and direct bank payments.
If you are able, you may wish to consider either setting up a standing order or pay by bank transfer your offerings.
If that is not suitable for you, a locked offering box will be placed near the door within the Sanctuary for offerings to be given on arrival. The box will be emptied regularly, and the money deposited in the bank account and we will be able to claim gift aid on them using the small gift aid donation scheme.
If you wish to set up a standing order or other direct bank donations please contact for further information James White (Deputy Session Clerk for Linlithgow and Avon Valley Parish Church of Scotland) on 07922 124724.
With every blessing for your ongoing support of the work of the Kirk.
